Up, In, and Out

Central Church’s mission is to Know Christ - as Savior and Lord and to Share Christ - by our Words and Actions. As Jesus called his first disciples during His earthly ministry, so he calls us by the Holy Spirit to be His disciples today. To be a disciple is to live with and imitate the disciple. We see this manifested in the way Jesus lived and taught. Primarily through the following:

UP IN WORSHIP: connecting with God through scripture, prayer, and song. We worship individually and as a gathered church family (Psalm 95:6).

Being in community: connecting through conversation, gathering, prayer, and ministry. Through our faith and trust in Jesus Christ we are brothers and sisters in God’s family, experiencing God the Father, trusting the Son through the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives (Acts 2:42).

In faith development: growing in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ through scripture, study, and prayer (2 Peter 3:18).

By going out into mission, joining Jesus as He brings forgiveness, hope, and healing to our broken community and world. Our mission combines both Jesus’ Great Commission, to make disciples of all people, and Jesus’ Great Commandment, to love God and love our neighbor. (Matthew 28:18-20, Matthew 22:36-40 and Matthew 25:31-39).
